Prologue

Fuck.
This was not supposed to happen. Not like this. Not at all.
Siwon stared helplessly at the bloodied human lying unmoving in front of him. In few hours, the human would wake up and there would be hysterical screaming when the human realized that he wasn’t so human anymore. All the human’s life would change.
What had happened in the last few hours felt like an adrenaline rush for Siwon. At first it was only a faint scent, but he had smelled it a couple of times before, although only the faintest scent. But tonight, the scent was so strong, so real and Siwon’s wolf had immediately howled. It had taken Siwon all his strength to gain back his control over his wolf. Fortunately he didn’t need to ask help from his Alpha or the Second, otherwise they would forbid him from meeting his mate alone.
But now he wished he had asked for help.
His mate was gorgeous. He was perfect, anything Siwon could ever hope for in a mate. But he was human. He was not a werewolf yet and according to the tradition, Siwon was supposed to gently court him. A werewolf was supposed to slowly introduce a human mate to the werewolf’s culture and to the pack’s so that the human wouldn’t be so surprised by all the differences.
Once you’re a werewolf, there would be another conscious in your mind and your wolf needed to be controlled. There was always a constant hunger for meat, fresh meat for newborn werewolves. Your emotion would be unstable at the beginning until you had better controls of them. Every month during the full moon, your body would change to a wolf form regardless of what you want, and with that come the painful change as your human structure morphed into that of a wolf.
These were just some reasons why traditionally, a human needed few months, even years of adaption before being changed into a werewolf and only by then they could mate. There had been countless cases where a werewolf found a human mate and every single one of those proceeded the same way. The human would be courted, to be explained of what it really meant being a werewolf and then only after mutual agreement, the human would be bitten and the mated pair would mate.
In extremely rare cases where the human refused to be changed into a werewolf, there would be no mating and the werewolf were forbidden to change the human. The werewolf would have no mated pair and Siwon knew few wolves that had lived such lives. Some others would commit suicide, but usually with the pack’s help, they would survive.
However, this wasn’t the case here.
Siwon had screwed all the traditions. He had bitten his mate only few hours after he had met him. He hadn’t explained anything towards his mate. In fact, with few helps from alcoholic drinks, he had gotten his mate so intoxicated until he had willingly have sex with Siwon. And during the sex, Siwon had claimed his mate, bitten him, and changed him to a werewolf. Only ten minutes ago did Siwon realize the consequences of his actions.
He didn’t know anything about his mate, not even his name.
He only knew that this was the mate he had been looking for. His wolf couldn’t wait anymore, and Siwon’s self control had crumbled immediately. He just felt that animalistic need to claim his mate. And now, his mate would wake up, found out that he wasn’t a human anymore, and there would be hysteria screaming as the human realized another conscious inside his mind: his wolf.
Siwon needed to call Yunho. Now. He could already feel the pack’s constant worry and his Alpha already got irritated because Siwon wasn’t answering the pack’s call. If this continued, Yunho might need to take drastic actions. Siwon needed to explain everything to Yunho and prayed that the Alpha wouldn’t call the Marrock later on.
With shaking fingers, he pressed the speed dial. All the while, he kept his eyes on the bloodied form of his mate. On the second ring, the other line picked up. Siwon visibly swallowed. “Yunho? There’s some trouble. I bit my human mate.”
