Meredith's reaction to Derek's "I love you" at the beginning of the chapter was absolutely wonderful. I think it's so true to her character that, having been raised not hearing the phrase directed to her very often, I definitely can see that it would still affect her deeply, even if she's been hearing it from Derek all these years. The way you described her reaction was...I have no words. It really moved me.

I'm really enjoying this so far. I know you've got chapters posted up to 5 so I'm looking forward to catching up!
