I forgot to come back to your journal after readiing the first part of this some time ago. And I really liked both chapters. It's so sweet to see Alex and Izzie back together and some sort of Derek / Mark friendship and of course.... MerDer. I really really like the route you're going here and will definitively be back to read more.

thanks! the Mark/Derek thing was last-minute added and I don't know how much more I'll get back to those two - the road to (possibly) rebuilding their friendship is long, and obviously hasn't gone far in the 2 years this story has gone ahead from 3.22/23 - and I dont think I'm goingto have time for it in this fic - but that is definitely the direction I like to believe this story would head if I continued it beyond where I plan on ... ending it. LOL. if that makes sense.

Loved it! This was well worth the wait. The last line made me a little nervous, too, but I'm hoping it's an over analysis on my part. Anyhow, can't wait to see what happens next; I'm definitely hooked.

thanks for the response!! while this definitely won't be a cake-walk, it will be NOTHING like the last 8 episodes of S3. I plan on permanently burning them from my memory.

I don't understand why taking their relatioship to the next level would be a bad thing? Afterall, isn't that what most girls want. I mean they are practically married to eachother anyway-so I'm just confused but hey it's all good

because its meredith and she's afraid of change. its NOT a bad thing but she thinks it is. Derek has been married before, and to someone meredith has clearly felt very inadequate compared to in many respects, its not at all realistic of her (in my mind) to automatically agree and be thrilled when Derek wants to marry her, especially when all the examples she's had of marriage (her parents, Derek's, the Chiefs, Thatcher & Susan's, etc.) have been failures.

You're keeping Mer quite in character, considering that this is a fiction where Mer is not the most unlucky person in the world, and I love that even though I would really like to see McDreamy's face if she told him that she thanked God everyday for him.

Loved this chapter! I'm happy you did away with Gizzie. I like her with Alex :) The Mark/Derek conversation at the beginning was interesting -- Derek was acting really pissy about that, and he sort of beset Mark there. Does this tension hint at the fact you're going for resolution with those two? I know you like 'em friends :)

haha thanks. As for Mark/Derek, there's definitely going to be a bit more there... maybe not a total resolution cuz I don't plan on this story being THAT long - but I change my mind everyday so we'll see haha.
