More on the persistant painful poking

I discovered that the person most responsible for shoving me out of a work position I was fully committed while I was out of the country and couldn't really do anything about it wants experience in such matters--probably because it's a very marketable skill to have.

Hmmm. How surprising.

Y'know, I really don't want to, but somehow...I'm kinda starting to feel sorry for the Poker...

I do hope you give me reason to...heh heh

It's an odd situation. Small world that it is in the Valley, and my immediate manager being who *she* is, the Poker is a kung fu brother. Which makes it worse in some ways, but ties my hands in others.

Ah, but now you are too busy to teach them right now. Does that sound good?

Ah, but another person in our group says he has experience at this (managing overseas groups) and will train our traitorous boy. He just wouldn't go about it the same way I would. I would try to keep up with my personal relationship with them and be very hands-on, when he would draft a single person there to be his proxy. Who's to say his way won't work? (Except for social reasons why the best candidate for the job can't do it.)
