Thanks for the update! It sounds like things are crazy busy but basically good. So, what does being a disciple of sifu mean? It sounds very cool and worthy of congratulations, so congratulations!!
In our case being a disciple is more a formalization of an already-existing arrangement. He's always been my kung fu dad, and I've always been his lazy, undisciplined kung fu kid. But now I'm saying I'm not going to goof around with other styles (not without his permission), I have to find a way to advance his teachings (whether by finding students of my own or writing or whatever), and I should darn well practice more.
I'd heard of that and wanted to go, but stuff was too crazy. I'm glad it worked well--I have to admit that part of the attraction was the possible train wreck factor, but I'm still glad that didn't happen.
Thanks for the link! I don't think the performances coming up are with the monks. There was something on the web site about a world premiere with a jazz musician. Oh, well. See the title of the post.
