Growing up, Dad didn't let us watch TV. I grew up watching an ecleltic mix of B grade 80's sci fi and fantasy movies, Star Wars, MGM musicals and old Disney. I never really saw the need to watch TV. Movies were so much better ( Read more... )

I miss ER sfm. It's not even funny. I agree with pretty much your whole rant. Although, i am kinda getting into Fringe. Although that appeals to the inner Alias fangirl in me!

I also watched the first 8 or 9 seasons of ER. I dropped out for a while when Benton left, then came back for a while because of Kovacs (rwowr) but it definitely fell into suckage.

Do you watch Chuck? That's one that's consistently enjoyable for me--action, humor, angst, romance. It doesn't get huge ratings, but I think NBC has discovered the value of a small but extremely loyal audience.

oh, I so agree with you! I miss Alias, and Friends and the first 3 seasons of Charmed and ER and Ally McBeal and I could go on and on, I remember watching it and wait for the next episodes and loving the characters and the stories.

But there's something good out there. Friday Night Lights, for example, is so so well written...
