I think you know most of these already: shantari December 5 2011, 10:03:51 UTC
1. I don't think any of the nations are monosexual, not even (supposedely canonically homosexual) Sweden. And it's not because I think that immortality = bisexual (maybe an increased likelihood in having sexual experience with both sexes, but not an evening out of attraction to either) and all because I think of the nations as being different enough from humans that they for one thing, tend to think of humans seperately ( ... )

1. Bigendered/androgynous maybe?

2. And apparently some people in Israel's neighbours...

Ah, well yes. I think Israel has "a little" debate about their existance, only in comparison to Palestina who still hasn't heard word from UN. (I think... It's been months now since their bid, and I haven't heard anything since, but I might have missed it.)

Sure, there's lots of irl wank about Pakistan, but - dear fandom, did you miss the fact that we already have the US, Russia, China, France, and Germany?

Yeah, seriously! X)

3. Maybe not a father figure per say, but he has refered to Sweden as his papa. Maybe he thinks of Sweden as his senior, or perhaps he's trying on some level to dillute his brotherhood to England?
England: You're not a nation, and as your older brother, I should know that!
Sealand: Yeah, well Sweden's my dad and he says that I can be a nation if I want to be, so screw you!
England: (on phone with Sweden) What did you tell him this time?
Sweden: Jus' tha' he can be anythin' he w'nts if he puts his mind to it. Why?

1. I think both Ron and Ginny were the ones to get the raw end of the deal with H/G and R/Hr. They're both stuck in unequal relationships where they are the "inferior ones", one way or the other, not because they are inferior but because that's how they view themselves ( ... )

I Agree with you Mostly 100%! I think Hermione also got a fair amount of a bad deal in the R/Hr relationship. The whole thing feeds in on itself, really. I wasn't kidding when I said "I could write a Doctral Thesis on how much R/Hr sucks ( ... )

True, but this was about "unpopular opinions", and it's way more common to think that Hermione was the only one of them to get a raw deal. To the point where people assume you're anti-Ron if you're anti-R/Hr, which I'm very much not. I'm pro-Ron and pro-Hermione, hence anti-R/Hr.

I thought "Puppy Killers" was the unofficial name of the anti-Remus/Sirius shippers.

It probably is, but you know what I mean. :P The point is that the way people talk about the HP fandom, outside of the HP fandom, is that everything would be rainbows, kittens and marshmallows, if it weren't for those dreadful H/Hr-shippers hating on the canon pairings. Yes, because it isn't like you also have to contend with a bunch of canon-crusaders running about and telling people doing fanstuff that the pairing in it isn't going to happen. Oh wait, you do! At least if the pairing is het, conflicts either Ron/Hermione or Harry/Ginny, and is Harry/Hermione. (Or Ron/Luna for that matter.)
