Serious answer is: Because I overlooked how much I suit it, by simply not considering it as an option, until about a year ago when someone else suggested the possibility. Which lead to me looking up courses, subjects, what it is an engineer does, question my dad (who is an engineer) about a lot of what it entails, and simply feeling with each thing that it suits me. Also going back to remember my childhood dreams, and what subjects I already am good at, and what kind of things interests me. Also I'm the kind of person who's always looking into why things are constructed the way they are.
Silly answer is: So I can build robots that can transform into cars. (On a theoretical level.) :D
1. Never watched Monty Python so that went over my head. XD But new computer sounds wonderful! Now you don't have an excuse to not update anymore!
2. That's great! Hope you succeed!
3. Boy, I wouldn't know what to do without my diver's license. Then again, I live in the country so it's hard to compare. XD When do you get to take the other exams? Soon, hopefully?
4. Maybe you need to designate a time to write? Granted, I can't talk since I can't force myself to write, but if it helps.
5. I've heard of that manga, but I haven't read it. Doesn't strike me as something I would like. But, from what I've seen, it sounds strange. XD

1. I think it's good to have a spare computer. You never know what'll happen with the other one.

5. All I've encountered in it are pairings. :p Likely not a good section of fandom to be introduced to it. And two, sometimes I'm not fond of the sterotype America gets so I tend to avoid it. >_<

1) Mmm, but I really hope I can get everything I still have on the old one transfered to the new one soon enough, since it's difficult to start up at times, so it wouldn't make a really good spare one. :P
