Scientology is really stupid when it comes to psychology. They seem to think because of what happened in the past with psychology (Lobotomy surgerys, prescribing LSD, ect) that makes them evil now. What they fail to realize is that psycology is a science and changes over time. Oh, and apparently vitamins cure everything. Yup that's right, when my brother's schizophrenia acts up he doesn't need medication, he needs vitamins, that will make the voices go away! Because there's no proof that chemical reactions happen inside the brain, yup none at all, just... you know... physical proof.

Yeah, when I read about the evils of lobotomy and electro-shock I just had to laugh. Like anyone seriously prescribes any of that now?

It's like with creationism and evolution, the creationists can scream from the top of their lungs that "it's just a theory", fact still remains that evolution has only gotten more evidence speaking for it for each year the past fifty or so years, and that almost no scientist calls it a "theory" but actually use it as their basic assumption.

Sorry to hear about your brother having to go through something like that. *hugs*

I know, the funny thing is that medicine is actually still got people being perscribed leaches, yet they don't go after anyone with a PHD. Of course, people are being prescribed leaches to help circulate blood back to appendages that have been cut off and so forth, but still funny to hear a doctor asking for leaches ( ... )
