I'm excited for you and the field school! I did the one my school offers last summer and it was awesome. The programs sound pretty similar, from what you've said.
If you're at all interested, I know I posted about what we were doing in my journal last summer, though it's mostly me whining about being tired and hot, haha.
My advice is definitely to stay hydrated. Also maybe invest in a long-sleeved white windbreaker or something. Wearing long sleeves in that kind of heat seems terrible, but I seriously felt about 10 degrees cooler wearing something white that reflected the heat off of my arms.
Oh yeah... I remember a bit of that. I'll have to go back and re-read. I didn't think I'd be doing this until about two months ago :0
I'm sure I'll be whining plenty about the same things, lol. And thanks for the tip... it was suggested we get a "long sleeve, loose-fitting shirt" but I wasn't entirely sure what was meant by that.
