Am I a total wimp for being freezing cold in 60 degree weather? And THEY LIED TO ME on the news yesterday THEY SAID IT WOULD BE IN THE 70s TODAY. GODDAMMIT WEATHER, GIVE ME AT LEAST ONE DAY TO GO OUT ON A BIKE RIDE OR SOMETHING. That requires at least the 70s as ordained by Jesus

YES YOU ARE A HUGE WIMP. I'd kill for 60° weather. It hasn't gotten above 40 for almost a month.

And one night in Greeley we tied the record of -24° overnight as coldest temperature for the month ever. DX

Good luck on the job front, though. I hope you get the census position. It's short-term, I know, but it also pays well, and would be a nice bit of money to have.

I am!! I can't handle the cold for more than a little bit... but I can sustain ridiculous heat, albeit with complaining. I'm guessing the Summers are really nice and mild in your state? :>

Me too. I'd really love to work at a science center, museum, zoo, or aquarium... or history center, or performing arts center... but it seems to be a lost cause because most of those places either have low staff turnover and/or operate on volunteer work. Sigh.

Summers tend to be in the 90s for most of the time here, though it's dry heat, which is more bearable than the high humidity where you are, I imagine.

That would be a fantastic place to work, but unfortunately you're right... a lot of it operates on volunteer work and the hired staff stick around as long as possible. I've run into the same problem, since I'd love to work somewhere similar. DX
