Gonna party like it's 199... I MEAN 2009
Am I a total wimp for being freezing cold in 60 degree weather? And THEY LIED TO ME on the news yesterday THEY SAID IT WOULD BE IN THE 70s TODAY. GODDAMMIT WEATHER, GIVE ME AT LEAST ONE DAY TO GO OUT ON A BIKE RIDE OR SOMETHING. That requires at least the 70s as ordained by Jesus.
I still haven't done much of anything here besides chores, running errands, and lazing around. The landlord finally cleaned out the outside shed yesterday, so I was able to get all the boxes of holiday decorations and etc out of the utility room and into the shed after like... a month. So I was finally able to straighten up the utility room (and actually walk through it without difficulty), too. Oh, and I also found my way back to the house from Walmart without using the GPS after about four trips there. THOSE WERE MY MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS THESE PAST FEW DAYS. Sarah also got here on the 29th FINALLY and that has made everything oh-so-much better... now if only I could find a job, ANY job at this point. Sarah's actually at an interview right now. /flail
I did take a test to work for the 2010 Census and "passed with flying colors" according to the test guy. He said to expect a call in a couple weeks so I ASSUMED that meant "YOU GOT THE JOB!!" but... haven't heard anything yet. Granted it hasn't even been two weeks but it's still making me nervous. And anyway, it's only temp work... even though it pays better than any job I've had, I'm still going to have to keep looking for something permanent.
I am enjoying the house, though. I feel so at home and cozy, and once I find my camera's usb cord (printer power cable is also missing :|), I'll take some pics for you guys. It's just... such a cool place asdffhhglk;
No idea what I'm doing for New Year's. There's a cute restaurant/bar up my street that's doing something, so if I feel like going out I guess I'll go there.
