Just a quick reminder of how this works…essentially:
I watch the episode and I make comments, relate quotes, and blather on about it. I’ve already seen this at least once so keep that in mind as you read this.
THIS WILL MAKE NO SENSE IF YOU HAVEN’T SEEN THE EPISODE.
Okay…here goes…hey, I remembered to load the video before I got ready to do it this time. (And I’m trying really hard not to be distracted by my new background which is Karen Chance’s Pritkin. Okay he’s covered now…I’ll look at it later.)
Ooo pretty house. Can I get a cliché, please? It was a dark and stormy night.
Okay I seriously need IMDB here. I know that cop. Aaand that…did not help. Nor did Tv.com, but I have now eaten and peed (yes I’m sure you were all dying to know about my bodily functions) and I should be able to finish this without more interruptions.
Dead body! Hee!
Why is it “never what it looks like”?
Also didn’t Rogers say they were ditching the “credits”? Like last season?
She looks like a lawyer. This is unusual.
And this is the second “building” scam we’ve had. Just from a different angle.
*snorts* Okay she is a lawyer.
One miracle coming up.
The admin here reminds me of Coleson from SHIELD.
I don’t think Sophie should actually remove her head covering, but I don’t know her persona well enough to know whether it’s right or now.
This is rather Clue-y set-up. And Nate’s hat!
I love Hardison’s little song “Feeling like stealing. Feel like conning” not sure what he said after that.
Aaaw Parker and Eliot get to work together again. And she’s in the trash can! I totally saw that one coming. Hee! Her little jump drives.
“We have the blue prints.”
“We do NOT have the blue prints.”
Oh product placement. Bing it!
“I been to the Oscars every year since I was fifteen.”
*tilts head* Is Hardison’s beard new this season? I like it.
How does Hardison not know what human chess is? Clearly his geekdom does not extend to Harry Potter.
Okay the Leverage personas…cuz I know I got a kick out of them.
Charlie SiringoEncyclopedia BrownNancy DrewHardy BoysIrene AdlerEllery Queen(In the interests of doing this quickly, I used Wikipedia…I do not advocate this as a source…PSA ended.)
I’m not sure which one Hardison is actually supposed to be because DUDE I read both as a pre-teen and teenager…and he looks more like Encyclopedia Brown than the Hardy Boys.
I love Parker doing the little spiel of what’s going on. And Eliot’s working on the getaway.
“Let’s go steal a murder.”
Nate, are you getting a bit…jaded by your thievery?
The host is not dressed up.
Not all cell phones have the internet!
I love Sophie’s accent. It’s so…subtle. And it’s pretty.
Wow. Could the Union guy get any more cliché? And is he supposed to be from Boston? Or New York? Cause the accent sounds kinda NY.
Ok I think I got it. The cop reminds me of Adam…er…Ian Tracey. Jekell and Hyde from Sanctuary. It’s not him, but he reminds me of him.
Hee poor Hardison is not used to having nothing to hack. “Don’t bring up a problem without a solution.”
I love Parker pacing out the floor behind Hardison. And then him sending her to find the junction box. “No safe, just a pantry with a giant switch box and Beck’s sweaty daughter in it.”
I like Beck’s outfit but I have no clue who he’s supposed to be.
LOL Parker and Nate having the “silent” conversation. And then Parker stealing the policeman’s hat.
“Oh my god! He killed Daddy!”
Nice coverage Sophie. Nothing like acting on her feet. Really she did a gorgeous job with this.
*snorts* The Crime Doctor…poor Eliot! And hoisting the body up. I really hope they didn’t actually make Chris carry the actual guy cause he looked hefty.
“Mind if I consider you a resource by the way?”
“Why not? Nice accent by the way.”
“Thank you. And this one’s real.”
“Whoa. Whoa. What’s going on down there? Nate killed somebody?”
“No. Nate didn’t kill somebody. You didn’t, did ya?”
“Of course not.”
“You’d tell us though. Wouldn’t you?”
“Yes, Parker. I’d tell you if I murdered the mark.”
*giggles* I’m sorry…Eliot feeling up the body and describing the manner of death. Just amuses me. Especially because if you watch closely…Chris is like ACTUALLY TURNING THE HEAD. Oh method acting I ♥ love you.
I can’t even go into the whole like argument over the body that Nate and Eliot have…just essentially picture me flailing here…cuz I’ll never finish this if I try to explain how happy making that whole scene is. And not because I’m a slasher because I so am NOT with those two but because it shows how FAR Eliot has come to think of this group as his family and his home. And he’s going to protect them. Even if Nate is being stupid. Which you can totally see he thinks Nate is. But he’s not going to sacrifice the rest of them to protect Nate…and wow this is going entirely to meta…on with the commentary.
LOL Eliot copying Sophie’s wink…too adorable. When she ran in and was talking to the cop.
Sidebar-the hat on Eliot-too adorable.
“This is a bad idea. The way I get information out of people is normally loud and messy.”
Oh Eliot…it’s such a good idea to send Eliot to get information.
*snorts* “Nice rack.”
Really? He’s offended by cowgirl? And not by the nice rack part? Or was that just the final straw.
And I like Nate pulling the strings.
“Try not to assault this one, Eliot.”
“Nate didn’t kill anyone. He said.”
Parker’s twirl is adorable.
And Hardison calling her baby girl.
“Woman? People, I lost Parker.”
“Damn it, Nate, she’s not on comms!”
“Eliot will find her. That’s his job. Your job is finding the safe.”
I love the cops dressed as cops. They’re kinda cute.
Ha! Go, Hardison! Taking him out with the bag!
And Parker pulling him into the walls. She is totally awesome! And she found the blueprints. She rules!
“I’m not gonna lie to you, man. This is gonna hurt for a second.” *slam*
Dude I have seen that like fifteen times on the previews and it still does not get old!
“But yay Parker’s back!” Sometimes I wonder if Eliot is a borderline sociopath. His reactions are just a bit…off. Then again it might be so many years of burying his emotions or sublimating them into other things or into fights. It’s difficult to tell. (And clearly I am in a meta mood tonight.)
I love the blocking there-with Hardison and Parker above Eliot and him looking up at them.
Oh, Nate, pulling out your ear bud never ends well.
Uh-oh, Interpol has a file on Nate and it’s not a nice file. Does that mean we’re going to get Sterling back?
Bigger uh-oh, Sophie is handcuffed.
“Bugger.”
Okay, I have an issue with this…Sophie is calling for Nate, but well…everyone else had their ear buds in still, so why didn’t one of them answer her when Nate didn’t?
I really have nothing to say about the flashbacks here-it’s just Nate doing the set up. I did kinda see the daughter/cop coming. Although not her being his lover.
Also if “someone will die”…the actor should have been in the audience all along. (Yes, I have played murder mystery games.)
“I was there. I know I didn’t do it. And the killers. They know they didn’t do it.”
I do love that the badge tripped him up.
Parker grabbed the blueprints!
And why do the comms suddenly work in the tunnels?
Ha! Sophie hitting her with the lamp!
“Do you know how long it took me to hide that pipe wrench in the library?!”
:-) I love that they keep name dropping Banano. Even if he doesn’t show up. They’re keeping the character alive.
“I think I’m very relieved that you’re not a killer.”
So I’d like to know what Eliot found as their getaway.
“Are you climbing into that bottle because of what you think we think when we look at you? Or because of what you see in the mirror?”
Also…Nate owns the bar now? Or is it just a figure of speech? Because Sophie says “it’s your bar”.
Anyway…I’m done for tonight…or well for this episode. I doubt I’ll do tonight’s episode tonight. So see y’all later.
