I cannot think of anyone else in recent history with such a global impact and so profound. Must have been "dangerous" for certain people and am sure part of media thrashing had a more subtle goal, besides greed.
You just reminded me of those BBC documentaries like "The century of the self" or "The power of nightmares".

But about what you wrote... I basically agree with everything you said. It really sickens me that the media is way too focused on the negative events, thus keeping us in a depressed state of mind. They focus on scandals and controversy, and know that a lot of people will devour it, just because they seek easy entertainment. It's awful really, that charitable events go relatively unnoticed, but the baby dangling thing was talked about FOREVER.
Meh, I want to do something about that.
