Somebody just asked me, "How do you cope?"

You know, when some other ugly rumor or jaboney (jerk) comes out of the woodwork in the news?

That girl is my brand new hero, and so is you! I always love your insight because they're brutally (sp?) real. I agree 100% with what you said :)

Thank you for saying this, more people need to hear this and understand what is really going on. The worst part about the whole good vs. evil thing is that the masses don't even realize that they're being manipulated. Also, I don't understand why it's more than acceptable for the media to lie about celebrities, stalk them, and basically make their lives a living hell. The price of fame is tragedy I guess. But yeah I always try to think for myself and do my own research before believing anything I hear even if it's from 'reputable' and 'trusted' news sources.

Insecurity and jealously. Unfortunately the masses likes to see somebody knocked down and ridiculed. It makes them feel better.

I dealt with it at work and even with (now) ex-friends - if they are not happy, damned if you will be happy.

This is true. I have a friend who likes to cut people down once the attention of a group isn't on her. But anyway, I just wish there were legit LAWS that could (and could have) protect(ed) celebrities. Like wtf kind of a job is a paparazzi, or a tabloid "journalist"? How can they sleep at night? I mean, celebrities are people too, they deserve basic privacy and untarnished images. But I guess it'll never change.

you cannot slander someone and you cannot commit libel. other than that...it seems like it's all fair game.
i was reading a bit of latoya's autobio at a local bookstore [i know, she's not great, but i was curious to see what photos she put in there] and in one part she talks about how katherine would get so upset about the negative things said about mj in the media and he [supposedly, according to latoya] shrugged it off and just said 'all they have to do is put allegedly or supposedly in front of something and they are free from any legal trouble.
it sounds like something he really would have said, and it's something that's very true.
