I read this post late yesterday, then last night dreamed I had two classes with exams at the same time -- one was from you -- and I missed *both* of them trying to run between and take two finals at once.

Probably some residual guilt caused that, but I like to blame this blog post, since I'm sure I did something similar in a class from you. :)

One semester I had to give three consecutive reading quizzes on "Barn Burning" because the class continued not to read it. I was so pissed about it that I designed my final so that every question compared a work on the syllabus to a different aspect of "Barn Burning." Not so easy, actually, but I was determined.
