I totally agree about both solid conditioner and solid shampoo: the former doesn't work out for me at all, and I use nothing but the latter. I started with Lush but now have moved onto Prairieland Herbs, www.prairielandherbs.com, because my skin is sensitive to sodium laurel sulfate. I might have rosacea or something.
But enough about me. Red hair! Whoo! Who doesn't love it? Will you be able to post pics?
Ooooo! *sucking in breath* What a lovely, lovely website! I am so happy to see all the Fair Trade stuff--that is one thing about Lush that bothers me. I'll probably stick with the Reincarnate shampoo because of the henna, but this is certainly a more "responsible" option. And wow, lots of choices! Squee!
Here's the thing about pictures: my digital camera is total crap. About the best it can produce will be two possibly differently-colored blurs. But maybe we'll go outside and try again.
Yeah, Prairieland is great. I stumbled on them by accident a few years ago, and now they and Lush are my stand-bys. (I like Lush because I can avoid packaging, and I like Prairieland because the ingredients are more hardcore natural. Plus, it's cheaper!) Lush for bath bombs, massage bars, body butters, body powder, masks, deodorant and aquamarina. Prairieland for shampoo, soap, hydrosols, body & linen mists, solid perfume, Rose/lavender before and after sun lotion, cheek gloss and colored lip gloss.
Awesome!! I did the totally red thing for my birthday one year... I couldn't pull it off for more than six months... but I had much fun for that half of the year.... so here's hoping this "fires" up your life baby! (I, too, would like pictures... pwease)
I can totally see you as a redhead! :-) I've been doing the red thing for years, but it's only been in the last year that I've switched over to henna. I like it soooo much better!
Definitely pics! and I'm sooo glad you went for it. Lush henna is great. Am intrigued by the solid shampoo, though. What do you use for conditioner with it?
Every once in a while, I only use the shampoo (and you know with my hair, that's saying a lot). It does have the same cuticle-smoothing property as a full henna treatment, just not to the same degree. Conditioner: whatever heavy-duty, store-bought stuff I'm into at any given time. Recently it's been Fructis Garnier alternating with Herbal Essence's "Body Envy" line--both on sale at Costco.
