the nothingness of it will kill you. obsess over integrity and honesty and not continuing to do things that aren't yielding the results you truly desire. we are incredibly flexible creatures; rigidity is not an intrinsic trait to any human, but a learned behavior.

there are some people i wish i could still talk to/with. i wish i knew what other people were thinking sometimes.

i'm no longer a graduate student so it looks like i should retire this thing.

i have until the end of feb to turn nothing into something. then if my committee still thinks i suck i leave with a master's degree...after 6 years of pain. could be worse...

and see about my job options with 4 years of ph.d. candidacy and achieving just a master's degree.
