I am told that I'm hurting fandom's feelings by not moving.

Wat.. who in their right mind says THAT? Backups are fine and dandy (I have quite a few) but no one is obliged to follow and add me or join any communities I run.

It's a widely expressed opinion amongst some people who did leave. That's their business, of course, but I don't like the attitude that those of us who've chosen not to leave are HORRIBLE BAD PEOPLE OMG.

Exactly. Nobody has to follow me, either. Do it if you want, don't if you don't.
