A Heartwarming Kitten Story

Jul 19, 2011 22:58

So this morning, I was lying in bed, not wanting to get out because I agreed to come in at 7 a.m. per my boss' request (my usual hours are 8:00-4:30), and I kept hearing this odd yipping noise. At first I thought it was a bird noise, but on second thought it sounded more like a cat noise; I've had a cat all my life, and I know cat noises when I ( Read more... )

I imagine the sight of the kitten getting a bottle would have been too adorable for words. I'd probably be ded from teh cute if I'd been there, so it might be a good thing I wasn't ;)

Oh my god, the cuteness!!! ^^ Hearing (okay, READING) stories like this always touches me. I am thankful that you found somebody who will take good care of the kitten, and I hope that the momcat will be nice to it! What worries me though is the real mother of the kitten ... I remember how one cat of ours reacted when we put the blanket (AND ONLY THE BLANKET) where her kittens were crawling over in the washing machine, and gave the kittens a new blanket. Minka* (the mother) sat there for several minutes, meowing at the washing machine desperately ... I guess the mother must miss her kitten now just as much.

But really, thank you for arranging a place for the kitten to be helped. *hugs*

I know! It was so tiny, and so cranky! (And so cute.) Lolmom said that Rob told her the momcat was looking for her litter (her biological kittens had been weaned and placed in homes), so hopefully this will help her out a little bit too ( ... )

I still kind of can't believe it, and I was there. :D I hope we get to keep the kitten, but no matter what happens, it will have a loving home.

Aww, that's lovely. ^_^ It's good to know that there are so many people willing to make an effort to save something so small and vulnerable. I hope the kitten thrives and goes on to a happy home! :-)

I do too :) If Rob & wife don't happen to meet anyone who wants a kitten, the kitten can come back and live with us and be fed and petted on demand and die of old age after a long, comfortable life. ^_^

Hee, thanks. I know my cats pretty well, having lived with at least one since I was quite young, so their personalities aren't hard to translate. :D It will be very interesting if this one comes back to live with us, since there's a huge difference between a little, yippy, cranky thing and a kitten ready to Explore The World.
