OH GOD I NEED TO EAT THAT CHEESE NOW :DDDD Two of my favorite things combined in deliciousness!
One of the many benefits of living in a mostly-rural area in the spring and summer! :D Also, we have a CSA membership, which has afforded us the opportunity to try new and interesting things.
We get one paid day in connection with bereavement and one day for the funeral (only on the day of the funeral), so I'm rather impressed that you get 3 days.
Where do you get all of your recipes for salads? Do you make most of them up or do you have a go-to site or book?
It varies depending on the employer, but RMUTA allows three days. I'm glad, because I have an 11-hour drive to Georgia ahead of me.
It depends! Sometimes I make them up depending on what we have around the house, but I get a lot of them out of Cooking Light and Eating Well magazines, and if I have something that I don't know what to do with, I'll google things like "[name of tasty food] recipes". With greens, a lot of what comes up is salad.
Hurrah for intrigue! As far as places go, I'm open provided it's not journal-based (I just find that to be a very disorienting style of play). :D
The particular character is an ex-samurai. (Groan. l33 loooooooooves to pretend to be a samurai on the Internet.) But wait! Rather than my usual run-of-the-mill swaggering ne'er-do-wells of the seventeenth century, this particular character comes from the late nineteenth century and got to see his entire way of life destroyed! (Along with his wife and kids.) As a means of coping with the trauma (physical and otherwise) inflicted upon him by the Bakumatsu, Hideki has opted out of speaking and communicates only in writing. He is fairly social for someone who doesn't talk.
I have a vague idea that he might work in a Weird West sort of game, in which case I have it in mind that he learnt English by going to church, with the result that his English is pretty Biblical and laden with archaisms. Then again, I'd probably have fun with him in a Massive Clusterfuck sort of game, too.
Don't worry, I loathe forum/LJ RP. I only game on MU*s because I'm an impatient bitch and I can't stand waiting for other people to post back and forth with no other communication. REAL TIME FOREVER
Wikidot isn't letting me log in right now because dumb, but when I can get back onto my personal wiki I can shoot you a couple of possible links. I personally have a setting I've been kicking around that might work (to be built on a sandbox), and there are a few wild west games out there. Not sure how active they are these days, but I'd be happy to join up with you. I need moar RP in my life.
I think AIM RP is the greatest thing ever for similar reasons :D
Dumb ruins a lot of things, but hey, whenever you think of it, zap 'em my way. I've been deprived of RP (due largely to my own damn fault), and I'd be glad of the joining-up :D

And mmmm, garlic ramsons. ^_^ There's a delicious cheese from Cornwall that is wrapped in wild garlic leaves - sooo tasty.
...I'd never heard of tatsoi but having looked it up, it also sounds rather good. You're certainly well supplied with tasty greens! :-)
