I don't generally like collad greens and other cooked greens, like spinach. I think greens are better raw or included in a dish that covers that distinct overcooked taste they gain, whether they've been properly prepared or not. And texture...oh, man. Texture is the main reason I won't eat a lot of foods. I feel where you're coming from!

Sounds like the gardening endeavors are going spiffingly, though! I really want a salad now. I already had one today, but I want another one. My mom's tomato plant is blooming but no sign of fruit yet, which saddens me because I'm jealous of your green thumb.

The greens have been heavily tarted up with bacon and bouillon and vinegar and other flavor-adding things, so I actually like the way they taste; the texture is kind of eww for me, though. Nonetheless, the lolmom was arsed to make it in the heat of summer (we're experiencing a lot of July- and August-like weather here at the moment) and I can be arsed to eat it ( ... )
