Favorite photo of the year

I didn't get this posted in time for braddumm 's monthly photo contest, but this was my favorite photo I shot last year.

On a hike with my friend Scott, I had shot some photos of him and a small falls in the Angeles Crest Forest, Sturtevant Falls. At one point I had framed a shot, but put the camera down. The shutter must have tripped, with this result

Thanks! I shoot a lot of photos, this one relieves me of naming one of my own, or claiming special expertise in framing or catching the right expression. But I do, I think, have an eye.

It's a cool picture but I can't look at it for too long or I feel like I am spinning and about to fall.

That's a lot of what I like about it. I inserted it at full size, since it is most effective at that scale.

Thanks! If the camera had face recognition on it, I can see how his image stayed stable. As it is, I can just sit and calculate the odds of creating this kind of image.
