I had a nice weekend, spent it alone.  Saw a lot of "Law and Order:  Criminal Intent" 'cause I have a crush on Vincent D'Onofrio (well, the whole cast) and it's good, too.  Last night I saw a 2006 episode where they gut the rationale for torture and waterboarding used by the Bush administration at Guantanamo.  Well done, a bit late, but well done.

I know Easter is a busy time, but seabear59 Gary B. is coming down for a couple of days.  I'll get him tonight at Union Station, and probably bring him over to Chinatown for some good food.

Sunday?  Maybe a movie at LA Live, or maybe a trip to the Old Getty Museum to see the Aztec art exhibit.

Monday?  probably the other half of what we didn't get done.

• I shaved my face. Feels good, but I'll grow it back.  
• Went to Fiesta de los Osos in Tucson.    Stayed with sonoranbear  and Steve (no LJ anymore?), which made it really mellow.  I drove myself, kind of a rough drive to Tucson and I got a "fix-it" ticket for my license plate light.  Easy drive back.

Both dreams were very lucid and came to me in the morning.  I have been sleeping in to shake a cold, so maybe that contributed to the clarity.

I've been packing to move, took a nice break to help celebrate the union of zombietruckstop and mattycub. The early meeting for drinks was full of surprise, as LJ'ers I'd never met like inanityscout , xcot, largemilk and roguecub suddenly loomed in flesh and blood. I just got added back by Samuel R. Delany, a favorite writer (first sci-fi, later memoir and erotica) for 40 years.  And I found my old friend Serra there, too- we are in touch by phone and chat, but still- she looks hot all leathered up (always has).

Sandro's party was nice Christmas Eve.  the Day itself was uneventful, but with some nice phone calls.  I was thinking of going out to see "Slumdog Millionaire", but settled for the DVD of "Bride and Prejudice" that friends loaned me ( Read more... )
