Well I certainly like reading them, as your Alaskan cruise was more exciting than ours so I can vicariously enjoy yours. :) If we ever do that cruise again I definitely want to do the horseback riding. Also, I remember the super mario mushrooms! I saw them in the woods at a few stops. They were very exciting. And I remember stopping at that convenience store and buying some apple-scented conditioner cause I think I'd somehow left mine behind--that's also where we got some lunch supplies for our day drive/picnic
( ... )
I love reading your comments on the trip, because I love the fact that we took parallel vacations. I'm still jealous of your roadtrip into Canada.
They actually assigned horses by weight, since the trip caters more to inexperienced people on the whole (we never took the horses past a walk, so experienced people would have found that much too slow and boring, I imagine). But who knows, maybe they thought I looked terribly inept and that's why they gave me Bullet. Really though, his lack of speed wasn't nearly as much of an issue as him trying to peel me off on low-hanging branches. They probably should have named him Clothesline instead.
You should come visit us in Nebraska again and we'll go horseback riding! I hear there are all kinds of places to do that around Omaha.
Man, we'll definitely have to check out Colorado. They just took away our eight our leave radius and turned it back into four. Again. So it might be a while before I get to do that. :( Also love love loved the Northwestern smell. That made me so happy.
I'm reading them all -so there. I don't have much in the way of comment ideas though. I like reading these because I likely won't get to go on an adventurous vacation for quite some time (there's no vacation when you're unemployed! unless someone else pays for you, which, I guess I have gotten a couple of those). Vicarious vacationing.
