Haha, the soccer ball--was that Wilson? ;) This was so sweet and warm, I love the idea of them getting a time like this in the midst of war. My favorite was the bit about the shirts, though. This artwork immediately made me think there should be Hawaiian shirts in this pattern-naked R/S would sell like hotcakes.

This is made of win for me on myriad levels. First off, the art is fantastic and you captured it very well. But, most of all, this resonated personally with me on many, many levels. You managed to push many of my “R/S trope love” buttons and I could not love you more for it.

First off, this is one of my favorite time periods IF if is hurt/comfort, humor, or has a happy ending. I love both our boys as broken adults, they are so complex and easily broken, but still so deeply feeling. You really capture that well. And you managed to inject humor into it as well: "You'd probably do a better job than I would." Remus leaned in to kiss the tip of Sirius' nose. "I'd be afraid you'd attack him as Padfoot and rip off his leg and start munching on it instead of just trailing him, though."

Sirius chuckled. "That's probably true." LOL. Cute as that bit is, I appreciate the fact that is shows Remus as still loving and knowing Sirius enough that he can joke with him. And I imagine that Sirius would that as much as anything at that point ( ... )

maybe she was hiding in the bushes watching the really great sex!

I'll brave uninhabited little islands for these two!! *g* I was honestly tickled pink (do people say that still? What am I, 90 years old? lol) when I saw the title, because I've read other ships written in the Philippines before, but not R/S!! <3

I hope Remus and Sirius got the chance to escape like this when they were both at Grimmauld Place. They definitely deserved the holiday (and the peace), if only for a few days. :)

First of all, wonderful opening. You really establish the sense of doom and gloom that both Sirius and Remus must have felt during this time, and the cold weather works well on literal and figurative levels to set things up for their need to escape somewhere they can be warm and carefree. I also like how you show that their age and what they've been through are factors:

The closer it got to the full moon, the more his joints creaked with the cold. Sirius, after suffering the chill of Azkaban couldn't seem to get warm either.I also really like how you portray Sirius's worries about Remus, and the way their conversation at Grimmauld Place shows how much everything is getting to him, but that the two are still able to joke around with each other, which to me shows the strength of their relationship ( ... )

I've been looking forward to your fic when I found out which art you're writing for and DAMN. This is just *insert all sorts of superlatives here*!!

It's been raining for a while where I am, and I can totally get that gloomy atmosphere of London in the beginning of the story. A change of scene is totally what they need, and I'm glad Dumbledore was nice enough to give that to the boys. (Yes, I live in the Philippines, and FUCK, I miss the summer. The weather here right now is crazy.)

I love the way they interact, too. I agree with amuly, it's perfect for their age. Not too old, just mature enough, with a liberal dose of naughtiness. I love how they make a bit of fun at Umbridge!

And finally, the scenes in the Philippines itself! *g* Oh god, you don't know how much I love you right now. I've read Eames/Arthur set in the Philippines before, but that's written by a Filipino. This is the first time I've ever read an R/S fic set in the Philippines, and it's written by one of my favouritest writers ever! <3 ( ... )
