Happy New Year's Eve

Dec 31, 2006 18:05

It's been much too long since I posted anything. It isn't that I've been distracted with RP this time it's simply that I've been distracted away from the computer altogether. We did go through several weeks of the phone lines acting up very badly, which ultimately resulted in the phone people having to come round and muck about with the box up on ( Read more... )

Those are lovely photos!

I've been mostly offline too, this last week, what with holidays, and trouble with connectivity, and being sick. One does sort of fall out of the habit of general online-ness.

I'm sorry you were sick. I wasn't even aware. At any rate you're certainly forgiven. ;-)

I also haven't been posting with janitor Thorn much because I keep debating how exactly I want the resolution of the dog killing to go. I am a miserable bastard of a mun and I keep considering things like jail time or fines that render him unable to pay the rent... the penalties for killing a dog in PA seem to be quite severe.

AUGH, poor Thorn! Tetu really enjoyed having lunch with him--well, okay, it was probably one of the most stressful lunchtime conversations he's had, but still. He likes Thorn.

I've certainly been through worse. ;) They are lovely photos and I do hope we all go back soon. Seeing my sister is worth the stress it causes.
I wish you well in the new year too! I've been neglecting Thorn lately, I should really have him get out more because it's caused him to lose contact with old friends.

Well, depending on which thorn, I have a few people who'd say hello.

Alisa's been looking for an appropriate book for him.

The original version is by far the more neglected, and I have a backlog of poems for the Nexus 100 to post for him. The janitor version is due for some quite serious unpleasantness, the exact nature of which I am still debating.

For Thorn, if you mean the original version, nearly any book is quite appropriate. He's taken a definite interest in poetry lately, which was a completely unexpected turn to me. It seemed to suit the current phase of teen angst he seems to be suffering from.

Thank you. The botanical gardens out here are gorgeous, and it's quite close to our apartment.
You are allowed to call me Shad, you know. Or Thorn/Aloysius/White Stag-mun or somesuch. I don't mean to imply you should call me all of those, simply choose from the list...
Hrm. I forgot old Mad-Eye Moody...

They look like it. I love the mulberry tree.

You need to play Mad-Eye more. He's cool. And I'll call you Shad. ^_^

The mulberry tree is wonderful. That's only half of it, as the base is nearly split. It's all very low to the ground and perfect for children to climb around. The other half is braced and even bolted to help keep it from tearing any further apart and dying. I'll try to get more pictures of it for you if you'd like.

I do, but he's really just a sort of one-shot character for me. I'm not heavily versed enough in the Potterverse to come up with plot for him.
You ought to, everyone does. I like Shad, it suits me.
