Here with you on this. The deep cleanings set me back over 250 after my insurance covered part of it, and I've got another visit tomorrow, which will almost definitely lead to fillings.
I'm terrified of tomorrow.

Some thoughts:

- I had to get a crown recently, and it was hella expensive :( I feel your pain!

- many dentists have payment plans, which you might want to look into if the interest rates are low enough...

- re the teeth grinding, I occasionally start grinding my teeth as well. Enough to cause severe headaches and tooth pain. I have had good luck with meditation before bed as a way to keep from doing it. Let me know if you want more details!

Of course there's no pulp showing, you ate that lemon years ago :P

Seriously, *hugs*. I really wish we had single-payer insurance so people wouldn't have to deal with all this financial crap.

There is a reason I am postponing my own dental work I ned done.... so I completely understand. And it sucks. Great big hugs.

Just wondering, did you look into payment plan on the dental work? My dentist offers 6 month interest free through an outside company. It might help to ease the stress if nothing else. (I believe it's we month at a low interest rate)
