I mentioned "ZOMG KITTY" yes?

Went out to PetSmart today and spent a lot of time (and money!) buying things for the kitten. Since purple_dj and quish got all the cat stuff in the divorce, we were basically starting from scratch--although quish did generously offer to give us the kitty fountain, as Toti and Orson are too scared to use it. I'm attempting to say that with as little inflection (and ( Read more... )

Save a day or two in September for me- I needs me some Nuance time before I leave.

And KITTEN!! You know, all I'm going to do on Thursdays after dinner is play with Captain Jim-Bob Samwise Gamgee Monkeypants.

"(housekeeping tip: don't dry your rubber-bottomed mat in the dryer)."

Well I could have told you that...

and as far as having properly socialized cats... well this is probably why we have one. Because she still has the tendancy to puke (not so much pee anymore) in places that aren't easily cleaned up. She ESPECIALLY has enjoyed puking on items that she KNOWS belongs to either Rob or myself to piss us off.

You will want to give kitteh lots of attention if you want a "properly socialized cat". I'm convinced that the reason our two aren't snuggly (although they are pretty friendly) is because we left them alone so much when they were young.

It may be easier to give lots of attention if you need to bottle-feed it formula every few hours, though.

Oh, also, make sure the kitten is old enough that momma has litter-trained it (she probably already has, but I forget the usual age for these things. I know it's before 2 months). I've had to litter-train a kitten before, and it was not fun.

Yeah, the kitten would be better off if it could stay with its momma for a few more weeks... :-/

Good luck!

Nope, it wasn't Love in Time of Cholera. :)

And I'm glad you're hooked on The Club Dumas. I love that book. The Seville Communion has a similar mood although it's completely different. Queen of the South is even more different and a bit sad, but I still like it.

You? Enjoyed something sad? No! I do not believe it!

But, yeah, Dumas is love.
