Oooh.... Jon Snow not being Ned Stark's bastard after all would certainly make things interesting.

It seems as though it would take a major act of God for him to step down as Lord Commander, though - he didn't want it, but it's been made clear to him that he is the best man for the job, and if there's anything Jon has learned, it's to take his duty seriously.

We'll definitely dragons vs. ice zombies before the end. To be fair, the ice zombies are a lot easier to kill than the Others who create them. I'm still trying to figure out what part the "good" Others are going to play (like Blackhands).

(I recently read through the books AGAIN, I think it's the 3rd or 4th time, in my impatience for the next one to come out. I had forgotten how much book 4 DRAGS.)

One of my childhood stories involves a snake caesarian. It's a different flavour of awesome.

I'm not 100 percent convinced that Dany will marry Jon but yeah, that does come awfully close to incest. (Cousins, right? I didn't think Dany was Rhaegar's kid, but his older brothers?)

Double-checked and of course, you are right. Hrm.

Given the attitudes towards those that know or suspect Cersei and Jaime's behaviour, I am not sure that Jon and Dany getting it on would be exactly politic. But then a lot will depend on who knows what at the end of the series.

I know what you mean about June babies! It's my hubby's birthday today and also one of my good friends. Last year we had planned conflicting parties, so this year we decided family on the day of, then Mark's party on Friday and hers on Sunday-- just so there's no more interference. Makes for a busy week though-- especially since they're both costumes parties with completely different themes!! And I'm silly enough to make Mario and Princess Peach for Mark's party and Lady Amalthea and Schmendrick the magician (Last Unicorn) for hers!
