My heart is heavy with love for ROME...

I don't care if Kevin McKidd himself told me otherwise. I did not SEE him die with my OWN EYES, therefore in my mind, Vorenus pulled through. I've already told my mother this, and she is perfectly fine with it.

Atia. Love her or hate her, she's a survivor. She's probably my mother's favorite, and I know why. So, I could never hate Atia. I seriously ( Read more... )

Seriously, I have no problem whatsoever believing that Vorenus survived. For one thing - a month. A month! And right up to the very last frame Vorenus is alive and lucid. Compare how Pullo told Vorena that her father was likely to die and the almost glib way he told Octavian. It makes a lot of sense that Pullo would want Octavian to believe that the only rival he has to being first citizen and a loyal soldier to Antony are dead. They're much safer that way. I can't help but think that the heavy purse Cleopatra gave Vorenus and the reward Pullo collected from Octavian will go a long way towards a farm outside of Rome where there are plenty of peach trees for Pullo. Sailing down de Nile is a lovely trip.

It takes the Aventine to raise a child... shadowhuntress March 27 2007, 01:33:06 UTC
Exactly! We've seen the body (or at least a portion of the body) of every single other main character who died in this show, but not to see Vorenus' can only mean one thing. So, Pullo, Vorenus and their progeny no doubt settled far away from the politics of Rome, perhaps even near a nice lake like Eirene's people, and someday Vorena the Younger will marry Caesarion (he'll try to be pompous and boss her around, but she'll have him wrapped around her finger, is how I see it), and no one can convince me otherwise. ;-)

If Vorenus had died I can't imagine this show passing up the opportunity to show Pullo and the kids at his funeral pyre. Despite the fact that I would have been inconsolable it would have been a great dramatic moment. Instead we're given Pullo collecting a reward and lightheartedly walking his son through the Aventine. Let the politicians have Rome. There's a place in the country Pullo and Vorenus have spilled their blood to have.

Vorena the Younger will marry Caesarion...

Ohh, nice match. Vorena the Younger will remain quiet and let Caesarion talk himself into doing her bidding. I love it!
