Well, that Super Bowl was rather exciting! Mardi Gras has definitely started early this year! The majority of the commercials were lame, but I do agree with Michael Cudlitz that the Google ad was great. And CBS obviously asked The Who to perform at half-time just to hear their CSI theme songs played live ( Read more... )

How do you watch Smallville? My dad and I sat through last week's, and it was so. Boring. I'll give anything a shot, and I'm also really forgiving--every series has a few episodes that aren't as good as the others, but every time I stop to see what's going on in Superman-land, I drift off. If they cut out all the meaningless dialog, the show would be about three minutes long. Maybe. People just sit around and talk SO MUCH.

Man, I'm slamming your show. That's such bad form on LJ! D: Maybe there are some good episodes you can recommend? And hey, points to Mistah Shanks!

LOL! I wouldn't exactly call SV "my show" because I have a tendency to pick it up and drop it over and over and over again. There is no way I could stick with that show through the long haul because it is SOOOOOO SLOOOOOOWWWW (I forgot to include in my post my opinion that the TWO-HOUR EVENT could have easily been cut down to one hour) and LAME more often than not. But every once in a great while, they do something kinda cool (like bringing Green Arrow into the mix).

If you want to see Jensen Ackles and his non-Dean Winchester voice, you can give some of season 4 a try, at least for the LULZ. One season 4 episode I quite liked, "Run," focused on Impulse/Bart Allen and that ep turned me onto the music of Rascal Flatts. My interest in the show was renewed when Green Arrow/Oliver Queen showed up in season 6 for a nice seven-episode arc, which concluded with "Justice," for which Bart Allen came back and was joined by Aquaman (who first featured in the episode "Aqua") and Cyborg (who was first seen in "Cyborg").
