So I don't think I've posted in a while. For everyone who doesn't know or who forgot, I have officially MOVED TO SEATTLE. Or, rather, the Seattle area. I'm currently sleeping on a friend's couch until I get a job and find my own apartment ( Read more... )

Well, the benefits and money sound pretty good at Claire's. However, a word of caution about the type of work: from what I saw of my assistant managers' work from previous jobs (Which, for my first job-working at rite aid- was probably more than I should have ever seen), the mental challenge and the excitement from it is apt to wear off pretty quick, while the annoyance is apt to grow. So, unless you REALLY like the store you'd be an assistant manager at, I would treat this one with caution.

Personally, I hope that you will get a job with the leather place. Because, well....it's Leather. (I have recently decided I have a real thing for Leather. Real leather. Especially clothes. Stop looking at me like that.)

Or maybe there's something else out there even better for you. Anyway, ganbatte with the job and the home hunt!

Both jobs have the pros/cons thing going on, but I'm currently concerned that the leather thing is working off of commission and I don't have the confidence in myself to do all the well in it...but that's something to be asked tomorrow. I also have no idea of the benefits and that could make or break it. Doesn't help too much that I don't want to have to stress about "making sales goals" and stuff like that. And I like Claire's well enough.

Also, I like leather too, and I would be getting a 30% off discount if I work for them, but I'm worried that would make me spend even more money. >_< It all depends on paycheck and benefits, honestly. At this point, I'm not even sure what I want to do. If I end up getting offered, both, it's going to be a tough decision, anyway.

Thanks!
