(no subject)
So I don't think I've posted in a while. For everyone who doesn't know or who forgot, I have officially MOVED TO SEATTLE. Or, rather, the Seattle area. I'm currently sleeping on a friend's couch until I get a job and find my own apartment.
Things are going well in the job hunt. Banana Republic offered me a job, but I turned them down because it was part time in downtown Seattle and my prospects look good for getting full time otherwhere. (^_^ I like making up words.) I've taken one of those personality survey things and had an interview with Wilson's Leather, and Friday I have an "audition" where I go and stand on the sales floor for an hour and pretend I work there, knowing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. At first, it freaked me out. Now I'm just amused. I have plenty of experience with that sort of situation because of Dad...
And my other possibility at the moment is working as an assistant manager at Claire's. I'm not wild about the store, but I think I'd prefer the variety and moderate mental challenge of paperwork and making up schedules and everything else I'd get to do. And I'd probably be getting close to $11/hr and I'd be guaranteed full time, AND the benefits are pretty good. It's downtown too, so I might be able to pick up a few extra hours some place else once the seasonal stuff kicks in.
Other than obsessing over getting my life together out here, I've read a lot. I haven't written much yet, but I have written some--better than none. I just need to figure out names so I can get on with the story...which reminds me of the original reason I got online...
And I have a new scarf. Lyz made it for me. It makes me happy. ^_^
