I actually was fretting at about the 800 word mark, wondering how the hell to make it more than just the standard "Harry gets presents and cake and Molly cries and hugs him" scenario. Then I remembered the thing with the broom, which was actually an idea from ages ago, and it turned into slut!Harry and drunken!Charlie and corks flying everywhere...

Hermione is the mistress of the unintentional, backhanded compliment. I wanted to do her justice. I knew I'd got it bang on when Emma read through the chapter, pre-posting, and frothed about that line. She's just finished reading PoA, and her Hermione tolerance level is at an all-time low. :D

I do have a picture of a Harry/George kiss, but it's over in Rubric Moments. It has to be one of my favorite pieces of art Em's ever done for me. :)
