Apparently my area is near the central part of the upcoming winter storm that the news has been talking about lately. Supposed to get about 2 feet if not a bit more! We had no snow at all in December, and just a little sunshower of flurries once earlier in January. Tonight we got a light dusting of snow but that's unrelated to this storm.

Stay safe!

Our weathermen seem disappointed that this storm may only give us 6" of snow, but winds will remain high. It's due here Saturday, and three of us have to go in to work.

Thank you,you too!

What area are you in? In quite a few states they are declaring a State of Emergency like here and PA,even NC and GA. Hoping that will mean that less people will have to go in to work unless they are essential personnel or something.

My mom isn't sure if she has to work on Saturday and all the newscasts are saying roads will be impassible and to stay home so its quite worrying for anyone that has to go out. :c

I'm in Rhode Island, currently in the 4-7" range. Not sure when this will start, so I'll go into work at about 6:30 AM and at least prepare the building for opening, or closing. My town has a parking ban starting at 3:00, an hour before the library would close anyway. I may even wear jeans instead of working kit ;o)

All the maps I've seen show the entire state being affected in some way or another. I think you guys are probably going to get alot less since the coast is nearer by but still you'll see a few inches.

Same to you! c:

Originally, they were calling for just a couple inches here. Now we are right on the line of 8-12" and 12-18". I'll just hae to wait and see what comes...:3
