I remember reading a fic once where Will - again, speaking to Marian, though not quite as private - described Much as being their mother, without whom they would go unfed and unclothed.
It fits really; Much is the mother, Little John the grumpy Dad, Allan, Will and Djaq are the kids and Robin is Much's layabout friend who's going through a rough patch is staying with the familiy for the foreseeable future.
Anyway - glad you enjoyed it and thank you for commenting. especially with that icon :D

That is a brilliant description, I love it! And it really does fit :-D
I really liked this fic, I think you wrote the interaction between Will and Marian really well, without making them seem too OOC. It makes sense that they would sort of connect over losing their fathers in similar sort of ways, I'm glad we got to see them talk it out, if only in fanfic. Also I liked the bit about Much sitting with Marian and endlessly rambling, it's so him!
The last line makes me want a sequel too, have you thought about it at all? It actually serves quite well as an ending, anyway, so either/or! I enjoyed this fic overall, good work :-D
You can just see Much trying to reason with John "It's only for a couple of weeks - he got thrown out of his old place!"
I'm glad you enjoyed it, and that the characterisation worked for you. I don't actually care much for Marian and was worried at times it came across - she's a bit snappish in this.
*laughs* How long was he there, one wonders? I hadn't planned on a sequel, but I kinda like writing this pairing - we shall see. :)
*nods* The characters I like all tend to be quite quiet. It can be a real nightmare geting them to open up and talk. I wasn't entirely happy with Marian in this fic - I don't like her very much and thus have barely written her. She seems a bit snappish.
I'm glad you liked it, though. Thanks for commenting.
Ohhh!!! I think you might've just converted me to Marian/Will, if the show hasn't already done that. ^^ So sweet! And you've captured Will's character perfectly. :D
This calls for my glomp icon! :D This was wonderful. I always had this kind of niggling idea that maybe Will and Marian knew each other from before, and it makes so much sense for them to talk about what happened, because they were in similar situations :D

And I like the bit about Will growing, and Much's little worries.
All good stuff.

Glad you liked - shall work on the other one, see if I can't stop it from turning into the little epic it so desperately wants to be.
