I like that although it's clear Patrick passes...Pete never really accepts it? Like he just still keeps him in his mind as alive and well

Pete never really accepts it. Yes, exactly.

Thanks for reading.

Oh, no! I meant that it was awesome that you hit on that vibe--that I made it clear enought that Pete never saw Patrick as gone and that, in fact, Patrick had been this little driving force behind much of what happened in Pete's life after the fact. :)

Did I sound abrupt somehow? *meep* Sorry?

Amazing.

This is one of the best fics that I've read in a while.

This is beautifully painful in every sense.

You should read some of Seamus Heaney's poems if you've got any slight interest in Irish history...or even if you don't; he's brilliant.

Oh. Em. Gee. Between this and the BMX AU, I'm thoroughly convinced that your goal in fandom is to break people's hearts. I read this when I woke up, and it's stuck with me all day to the point that I had to come back and re-read it just so I could get something done before my guests arrive!

This is haunting yet real at the same time (if that makes any sense). I definitely have a case of the ouchies, but the good kind. I'm almost afraid of what you'll come up with next!!

i knew, going into it, that patrick would end up dead just because of your warning. however, that did not seem to make me exempt from crying.

honestly, rarely do i read a story posted on the internet but people i don't even know about people that i don't even know, and cry. it's a rare beast that gets me to cry on this thing.

it was obvious you knew what you were talking about, which is the hardest part of this ficathon, i think; being told to write something in a certain time period you obviously didn't live in and probably had little to no previous knowledge of.

i absolutely and fully loved it, as i'm sure i would love anything you wrote, so here's where i ask if you have links or an archive of other things you've written, in or outside of this particular fandom.

Thank you!

All of my stories can be found in my memories. Fic from this fandom is under the heading "Boys in Bands (my fic)."
