Concerning Links and Pingbacks

Wait, what kind of private stuff do you post on here anyway? My general rule is, if I don't want certain people to read something, I don't post it on the internet. Period. Friend-locked or not, doesn't matter.

Sorry, one more. My understanding is that "Pingbacks" simply shows you who linked to something, as opposed to a way of being able to link to something. Am I just not understanding?

1) I don't post anything that I could potentially get in trouble for, but I like to keep my fan circle and my professional circle as seperate as possible.

2) When you post, if you haven't changed your settings, there are ticky boxes underneath the text box that say "Repost [] facebook [] twitter" which will allow you to share the post or comment. If you link your comment on someone else's post, even if the post is friend locked, anything who clicks on your twitter/facebook link will be able to read everything. Like I said, I don't really expect this from my flist, but to make it clear, I would rather that people didn't facebook/twitter link anything connected to posts I make.
