Another diet update

It is now the 15th day (third week) of my diet.  To celebrate I allowed myself a piece of bacon and a kamakazi.  Also I made an awesome zucchini lasanga (I used zucchini instead of noodles) that was delicious.  I'll give a brief rundown of my goals ( Read more... )

...does this diet perhaps entail cutting large chunks of flesh from yourself? 'cause 20lb gone in two weeks is scary fast.

(also, you were in my dream last night, along with maggie, and i think some other people. we were fighting a war against aliens, and you were trying to help me turn my right arm into some kind of crazy weapon against our enemies! obviously kind of a "District 9"-driven dream...)

I started exercising a bit before this, so I may have dropped a bit of weight in the week before school (that was the last I weighed myself before the first weigh in at day eight.)?

Though it seems like a bunch of weight, I did start out with an obese BMI so dropping 20 pounds was less extreme than if I had only been overweight.

Apparently everything I thought I knew about what obese people looked like is wrong.

Well, granted, there's obese and then there's morbidly obese. Most people think of morbidly obese when they think of obesity. I was class I obese which is having a BMI over 30. I did not fit the classic picture of obesity because I didn't have central obesity (when you don't have a waist) due to my, ahem, womanly figure.
