Hey folks, I hate to request this but this is really bugging me... does anyone know whose art this is at the following links below? I have strong doubts that the user who placed this on deviantART is in fact the actual artist of these, but I want to be sure so I have hopes that one of you guys/gals may have seen this art before...

I'm not able to make out the signature either but I highly doubt this person owns that artwork. I'm going to ask this person for proof of ownership. Like a 300pi scan of the image file, or atleast a clear closeup of the signature. Also, some rejected artwork/unfinished works for comparing art styles.

The person is probably not going to comply. I too strongly doubt that the artwork is not his/hers.

The signature looks like "Phil Desuto" to me. I'm pretty sure the first name is "Phil", but not so certain of the last name. As for the other pic, can't see it because I don't have a DA account.

Also, the date is wrong. "4/29/97" is how dates appear in America. The French, like every other European, dates like: "29/4/97": day, month, year. Not month, day, year. So the artist who signed that is named "Phil" (highly unlikely female name) and is American.

That's a detail I've already known about. I've tried to search for a Phil Desuto through google and had not gotten anything. If the artist did in fact use the nameon an art gallery online, it would show up. However, the person may sign under his real name but post under a nickname or a fursona name.
This is the troubles of the searching for just one person through the 'net.

Taking a closer look at it, it looks like the last name is Devito. The other characters look more like an "A" followed by a period. My best guess is that the name is a leading initial and a last name that looks a whole lot like "Devito".

It might be This guy, if the first initial is a "J". Other than that, I'm coming up blank. Whoever drew that may be using some sort of handle. Problem is Googling with an initial and "Devito" returns too many hits.

I got a strong feeling that she's an art thief, too.

For one thing, exactly like what x_eleven has said, the date system is wrong. If she really came from France, the dates should read as 27/4/97 (day/month/year, which is also the date-ordering system we use in Malaysia ( ... )
