[Not something Wolfwood expected to hear today. He frowns a bit, wondering if Livio really had anything worth returning to or not. He hoped so. I mean, that's the sad thing about Gunsmoke, or whatever he called his version-most of the time? Anyone who'd come here wouldn't wanna go back.

You're welcome. Um... I wouldn't say more than a day, maybe only even hours. I found his cat today, he seems to be okay. Apartment seems fine too.

Something like that... We're from the same world, different universe. So while he knew me really well, I only just sort of met him here, when he showed up.

What's it like? [After her world and hearing about some of the other worlds out there? Nothing shocks her anymore.]

Hn... [Might as well turn this private, just in case something comes up that is best between two people, a simple conversation.] Well, the first and most obvious thing is that it's a place entirely desert. If you're a fan of sand, Gunsmoke is that sort of place. Doesn't rain. And it's pretty damn hot.

[Ginia considers that, remembering how young Livio had stared at the water and the leaves on the tree when she first saw him by the river.] I see. I guess everyone had to learn how to adapt then?

Mn, that's right. We managed to get underground water out through wells, and... it just goes from there. You'd be surprised, what humankind can adapt to. Still-it was a pretty crazy place to live. No laws, no real idea of peace to speak of. Even if a town was calm, anyone could ride in with a gun and a group of thugs to mess things up.

Sounds like some of the smaller towns in my country. Might have had a sheriff or local group keeping everyone safe, but they were still at the mercy of whoever decide to sweep on in.
