Am I here?

Just thought I'd wander back on here for a minute. I miss blogging, though my life now is arguable more intense and less exciting than it has been in the past, making posting a good deal harder. I don't know if the last few weeks of silence indicate a life cycle or a death rattle, I'm after all no doctor... yet ( Read more... )

Welcome back!

You (a Canuck) need a visa to enter the states? Or is it because you are presenting (aka "working")?

Anyway, you can buy XP in the stores still. I don't know about Japan, or buying a Japanese version, but it retails here for about $140.

I need a visa to be in Japan, and while I'm in teh process of waiting for said visa (it needs to be renewed every couple of years) I'm not supposed to leave the country.

As for XP if it is still readily available in stores I'll pick one up in SF while I'm there.

If you have any friends at Microsoft while you're in SF, they can pick you up a legal cupy of XP professional for about $35 from the Microsoft store. You're not allowed to use it for commectial purposes or to resell it, but it's otherwise just dandy.

If you do not have a Microsoft friend, you can probably borrow one of mine. This assumes Redmond and SF are as close as I think... I'm not so good at the geography thing.

Is the rarity of your experience of webcomici hilarity meant imply something about the state of webcomics, or the state of you?

Looking forward to seeing you!

Likely both, I don't usually laugh out loud when I'm not in the company of others, so that makes it harder to actually get a giggle to bubble to the surface for things like webcomics.

Looking forward to seeing you too, though aren't you still really busy?

Not so much. I'm just doing the beaurocratic work to graduate simultaniously these days - all the hard stuff is done.
