Am I here?
Just thought I'd wander back on here for a minute. I miss blogging, though my life now is arguable more intense and less exciting than it has been in the past, making posting a good deal harder. I don't know if the last few weeks of silence indicate a life cycle or a death rattle, I'm after all no doctor... yet.
Two interesting things happened in the last couple of days. One: I laughed out loud at a webcomic strip, which hasn't happened in ages and despite me reading quite a lot of them. Two: I found a store nearby that sells Boddingtons and proceeded to buy 3,500 yen worth of my favourite British ale (less than you think). These facts may be connected.
Can people tell me how I can get a copy of Windows XP? I'm planning on dual booting (or VM-ing, I don't appreciate the difference) my Intel chip Macbook and I want it to run the OS that I use at work, the OS that understand. I'd really rather purchase a legal copy, but if the powers that be make me feel like I'm jumping through hoops to give them money, I'm not morally opposed to theft (A sad state of affairs...).
I leave for Silicon Valley for a conference in 3 days or so, assuming that my visa works out by then. As luck would have it I'll be spending a few days at home after (May 12th to 16th) that before running away to be unplugged for a week and finally returning to my photonic island.
I just thought of a way to end this post that is really tasteless,
