Title: The Shortest Distance Between Two People Author: riko Summary: In which Sirius learns that growing up isn't nearly as easy as it sounds. Rating: PG-13 Recipient: rian219 Notes: This one's for you, Rian! I hope it pleases.
*happy sigh* I really love your Sirius here - how he grows and changes yet still remains himself, his confusion, his revelations. And Remus is terrific! I love his sense of humor and how it actually compliments his stoicism - how he's mature, but not... stuffy and proper. You did a fantastic job of portraying them as young boys. *giggles at the "I know you are but what am I" scene"
it's so great. wow. this *is* what happened. what a beautiful insight into such a fantastic story, and it's amazing that you covered all 7 years in a timespan that didn't try to be a novel (or seven) but also didn't try to run it all together. just lovely.
Gorgeous story; a fascinating study of the evolution from child to adult, with everything that entails. It works on so many levels, and entertains on all of them. I love the Marauders and especially Sirius in this: absolutely IC and believable.
