You know, because I figured that Snape may have been physically brave, but he didn't have the emotional courage to forsake all others and cleave only to Lily, whereas James dumped the personality trait that she found objectionable without a backward glance.

Snape tried to have love and power and ended up with neither; a ghost is a wizard who tries to cling to life instead of bravely marching into the mist. Ergo, he walks.

Wonderfully phrased. The first fic I've seen of Snape that I actually don't hate.

You know, I never did "get" the Snape love! Movie contamination, is the only thing I can think of.

Same with Draco...
