This had a lot of great lines - my favorite being and for the record, it was Rodney's turn. Loved that!

Teyla and Ronon staying off screen hurt the team dynamic a bit for me, but the John and Rodney tango, especially at the end, was very good.

In my first two drafts I had the whole team, sadly ir read muddled and rushed with under 700 words and I ended up having to re-write it with just Rodney and John.

I agree with your point. I like the idea of ending it with that line because of the tension, but have been 'pinged' in past rounds for not having solid beginnings, middles and ends, and thought it would have left too much up in the air for some people.

Your idea for an alt ending sounded like a good one. I think this version was my third re-write from a whole team fic to this simpler story, so my brain was toast :-P Thanks for the crit, it was very helpful!
