I thought this was extremely well written. I liked the references to Torren and Michael -- it made the story feel like a missing scene from the show, and an episode I think I'd have enjoyed watching.

I love the last paragraph. John is there for everyone in his team, always.

I loved the tension in this. Rarely do we see Teyla in this type of situation and I liked the fact you didn't have John do the 'gentlemen' thing ..he had to take her down. Teyla is dangerous on a normal day.

Thanks! I had a hard time with this challenge for some reason, but the idea of the two at odds with each other was too good to pass up. John wouldn't want to hurt her, but he will protect himself. Glad it rang true.
