Group Work, Individual Work

May 12, 2008 17:03

I'm curious to see how everyone's doing on their group work. (If you haven't met or done anything or--whatever, that's your prerogative. No need to report that.) But for those of you who *are* in groups that you feel are helping, I'd like for you to share with the class what sorts of things you do within your group that are working really well and helping out with your writing. My basic reasons for doing this would be - one, if we have another challenge next year, it'd be helpful in developing a set of group work suggestions, and two, it might very well help your group this year to take some ideas and suggestions from your compatriots.

So yes! Come share your group trade secrets. Are you sending one another story snippets, are you actually reading entire stories as you go along, are you providing general rah rah spirit and encouragement?

Furthermore, if there are any of you out there who didn't get in on group assignments last go around, or didn't want to, you can use this comments section as another chance to try and find a few people on your own - I won't be assigning anyone like I did last time, you'll just have to go through and do the whole meet and greet fun on your lonesome. It could be helpful to you in the final months of our challenge here, so seize the day! :D

ETA: Alternatively, if you haven't been working with a group, and you have some suggestions for what you've been doing on your own that have worked nicely, by all means, feel free to share those as well.
