Gorgeous. I loved the festival, and how Teyla led them to the conclusion, and how John and Rodney and Ronon were perfectly in character in all their responses.

Oh, wow. This is *beautiful*. Everything about this is just spot-on: the descriptions of the setting, the character voices, the interactions. Rodney cracked me up continually, you had his voice down so cold. Ronon cracked me up, lol -- again, you have his combination of sly humor and honesty down so well. And John! Worrying and thinking about his team and everyone, always feeling so much responsibility. It was beautifully appropriate that he was the last one asleep.

The whole thing was seamless itself -- and what a lovely metaphor, by the way. Gorgeous writing. Thanks for this.:)

Very sweet! team cuddles are always nice, and the scarves sounded very soft and snuggly. And I liked the little detail of snow and 'gates in the beginning, clever!

Thanks for the comment. :) The snow-and-gate thing occurred to me as I was trying to figure out how to describe the experience of emerging from a gate into deep snow -- it was the only thing that seemed to work!

Oh, wow -- this is LOVELY. I love the way you've fleshed out the details of this culture and this world. The snowpack and the stars and the aurora and the way people make conversation and the etymology of John's last name. And how John is so glad to have Teyla back out there with them again -- and his chagrin at realizing how desperately she misses her family -- and the gift-giving scene, which is just wonderful, and I love how everyone manages to find something to give to her. And the puppy pile! And the furs! And the ending! Oh, yay.

Thank you so much! I really enjoyed creating the culture and their snowswept world, and figuring out what everyone's impromptu gifts would be; I'm so glad that it worked!
